Not defending any idiots here, but it looked like Reading idiots very much aggressors here, yes there was some reciprocation, but a question I always ask, is, why oh why do they allow home fans anywhere near the away coaches? Was that A big pole or something that the Reading fan was banging on the seats in the ground?

Going back to the 70s when trouble was at its height on the terraces a mate of mine convinced me for some reason to go watch Stoke v Leeds.... To this day I've never seen violence on a scale like it at a football match.. And don't want to either it was horrific .. Every where you turned there was violence even the police were fighting like animals.. I even saw one officer grab a kid by the scruff of the neck and bang the kids head into the rear lights after catching him smashing lights on another coach.. then he floored him, put the boot in and stamped on him for Good measure before wading in to a group using his truncheon left right and centre.. Bricks bottles stones sticks anything not fastened down were being used by both sides... Pool balls in socks were not only smashing bus coach windows but anyone who was in arms way.. Our bus came under attack before anybody could get off not that anybody in their right minds wanted to... Some put their young uns on the luggage rack whilst most of us eventually got on the floor as more officers seemed to arrive to circle the bus.. And yet there were still bricks been thrown... Never seen violence on that scale before and don't want to either... That said there's been the odd skirmish over the years with both Bradford and Rotherham but not to that extent...
