In New Zealand there are more gang members per head of population than anywhere else in the world, plus those scary jumping spiders in Arachnid were from NZ, nowhere is perfect.

 

NZ Gang Members are pretty embarrassing, they'd get done over in the UK. They ride motorbikes and wear matching jackets, no one takes em serious. They live like animals and just fight each other, they're a bit of a laughing stock.

Stick em in the middle of London, Manchester or Glasgow and they'd ***** themselves, they just terrorise small communities like a bunch of kiddy bullies.

I live in West Auckland, it's got a bit of a reputation for absolutely no reason. I've not seen one addict, no used needles, no methodone bottles, not one pissed up fight, no crime and it's extremely safe walking about. Nothing like living on Summer Lane.

When us expats hear the media go on about NZ's drug, violence and alcohol problems we just laugh. My mate from Bury was a cop in Manchester, he's refused to join the cops over here as all they do is traffic offences as nowt else really happens. When Ireland played Australia in the RWC it was massive news as there was a couple of arrests and Kiwi's had been quite rude to Australian visitors.

One thing that has really surprised me is how nice and well behaved school kids are, they're polite, smart and no trouble at all. I catch the train everyday with kids from all different schools, there's no swearing, no messing about, they just act like sensible humans.

as usual old chap...if i am not generally involved in a thread and does not have my seal of approval ...it is total ******.....a bit like the chronicle really who would probably print this type of story....the fiction not the facts should be the chrons motto!
