Certainly an issue with box office hours. Cheaper tickets if don't work or work irregular hours. Full price if you do 9-5
I agree about the ticket office. The atmosphere in there is terrible, the last time I was in there were out of date bland sheets of A4 paper with details of games that had already happened on them and I reckon at least a quarter of the window between you and the staff was covered in notices and other crap that made the place look really unprofessional and even smaller than it is. And that's after you get past the main windows covered in crap. When we get control of the club shop back (is it after this season?) they should build an extension across the front/back of the ponty end across the middle section from the club shop to preedy's making each of the units bigger. Nothing massive, maybe just an extra 10foot out. Would give us a much larger, more professional reception area, allow preedy's to let more people in, more space in the club shop and would mean that more than 4 people can queue inside the club shop whilst giving them more room to put their notices without having to cover the windows. I wonder how much it'd cost to do, can't be that much can it?
Did they not offer to post them out to you for the usual fee or let you pay up front and collect on the day?
But I don't want to pay for delivery as defies reason to buy offers and many don't. I can't get to ground until ten past 7 on Friday so exactly reason be good to be on sale to personal callers at better times. They'd get a better reaction
Tickets for the European friendlies don't go on sale until Monday at 9am and the offer ends at 5pm on Friday so if you work 9 - 5 and can't get down to Oakwell during this week, you can't take advantage of the offer. If you order over the phone it's a £3 booking fee and Ticketmaster have a high booking fee for when you book tickets online so it defeats the object of making the saving. Luckily I know someone who isn't working at the moment and they've agreed to go down for me but others won't have this option. Other than that, it's a good deal...2 years ago it was £12 for an adult ticket to watch us play non league Grimsby in a friendly at Oakwell. Also glad to see they are doing kids for a quid for the Scunny cup game. On another note...is the Ponty End still open for the Wolves friendly or is just the East Stand now as it is for the Brugge and Bordeaux games?
It is about time the club starting treating fans like customers, not a necessary inconvenience. I'm hopeful the new regime will have a different approach from the 'computer says no' mentality that too often characterised the club in the past.
