Ironic? I slipped on a pie at half time in the eaststand lower and went skittleing, it was a chicken balti, I could tell by the smell. The irony ? I was running to the catering kiosk for a chicken balti pie, when I finally got there they had run out.
Look that's more ironic than Alanis Morrisette

I find that a tad insulting. My daughter actually is someone who knows about football, she has a boyfriend, and even if she was someone who was inclined to move away from the club, the club shouldn't give her an additional reason to do so.
Also I'm 46 and as I previously stated started attending in 75. I used to go home and away in the late 70's and was one of the 2,500 when we played Wimbledon at home last game of 77/78, but I have been mainly a home supporter with a few away matches since the early 80's.
In the premier league season I only went to 1 away match because I couldn't afford it. I've never worn a replica shirt and I'm not fat. Of course I can't prove this to you on this board, but you either believe me or think I'm a liar, your choice.
I've no axe to grind with you but I have my views and if you wish to debate these, good but let's not get to name calling if you don't mind.

RE: 'What difference does it make if his daughter goes' ???? if she is nearly 16 she will soon be losing the crush on footballers and starting with local lads so whether we are playing well or crap she will pack football in anyway.so will you ? you are either a loyal supporter and will go or you are not and just looking for an excuse to pack it in and have something to blame. quality football will come if we are prepared to pay higher prices it is the only way we can compete as that happens you johnny come lately s will start turning up in your stretched home kits swearing blind youve come since the early 50s even though your only 40. seen it all gavin or glavin clarke alan or lee not really sure. always had a season ticket only ever supported the mighty reds home and away

Know how you feel. First time ever I've left a game before the end last night. Quite simply, I'd had enough. After killing myself to get away from work early, having someone smash in the back of us on the way down, after starting the day with a flat tyre, I just wondered why I'd bothered. It cost me £18 plus half a day's holiday and petrol money, and I was left as miserable as sin. Got back at 12.30 and had a long day today at work after missing yesterday. Are they worth the effort...I don't know anymore...
