    The first record I ever bought, got it from that record shop on Eldon Arcade, still got it 50 odd years later, must admit I don’t play it much now.

    Can't remember the radio, but the TV was that coca cola advert ( 74 ish at a guess) I think it was " I'd like to teach the world to sing"

    In addition to Flamingo Park and House of the Rising Sun as described in my earlier post on this thread, I have a brother who is 10 years older than me and he bought a few early Beatles albums including Rubber Soul, A Hard Day's Night and Help. So rather than listening to the radio, most of my early years were spent listening to The Beatles.

    Rubber Soul still stands out as a ground breaking and underrated masterpiece.

    Right Said Fred is a work of genius. I loved it as a kid and I still love it now. Always makes me smile.

    They were/ are about same age and, besides having top music knowledge, had perfect radio voices if you know what I mean

    Not on radio, but on my dad’s gramophone- Fire Brigade, and Blackberry Way by the Move. Then See My Bany Jive by Wizzard. What a sound from that gramophone.
