What about the absolute pigs ear he's made of it since then? Absolutely thrown money away and raked in some impressive transfer fees. No way on this earth we should be in the position we are in, financially anyway. Board must be pissing themselves that there are muppets out there still talking of Conway and co.
80% of people involved in the survey would disagree, regarding the financial obstacles I'd challenge you on that, let's not forget this is 3 years since Neerav took control, he also had hindsight of inner workings from 2017- 2022 so it's not like he was walking into the unknown. During his tenure we've signed Watters 330k + loan fee plus wages for 3 years £1m Cosgrove wages for 2 years 440k Andy Dallas wages for 3 years 275k There are plenty of others too, we have to stop this pretending that everything is down to Conway and Lee, he's been in charge 3 years and been at the club 8 years, time for people to own it and take responsibility.
It was my personnel view of the chairman. There was things he didn't approve of at the but he didn't have enough sway to make a difference. As soon as he took control the first thing he did was call out the previous regime by reporting them to the EFL. Has he made mistakes ?of course he has but hes also done a lot of good things for the club too. Theres no text book on how to run a football club thats why theres only on champion in each league but far more relegations. His first 2 seasons in charge he almost got it right last season nowhere good enough.Do I give the board my support to get us back in contension?100% yes.Again just my personnel opinion,no point looking back its what happens in the future.
I don't doubt for a minute doubt his integrity or get personal abusing people at the club that's just classless and not on, as you say we were a nats b*****k from going up, however the main spine to the team that lost at Wembley that day were recruited not solely by Neerav, though he may well have had input. The bulk of our problems last season on the pitch and the knock on effect off the pitch financially are in large down to the poor poor recruitment under Mladen, that is supposed to be his forte and why we appointed a sporting director. There have been 20 signings there or there abouts under his tenure, other than DKD there aren't any success stories that have delivered on the pitch, developed as players into tangible selling assets. Should it go wrong for Conor, sincerely hope it doesn't but then what? The way we recruit now under this model has been disastrous, correct me if I'm wrong? I respect your opinion and optimistic view, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating and that part Brian is sadly lacking. Anyway have a great day far to warm for typing I'm melting away.
I know the feeling,I'm sweating but also got flu like symptoms. Was looking forward to Barnsley Live but it'll be paracetamol and an early night I think.
Ohh get well soon, flu in this heat can't be fun I dodged Barnsley live did a few beers last Saturday instead
We've got to be patient and let Mladen and Conor do their stuff but it's hard to be too optimistic when the squad seems to get worse with every single transfer window. Big summer coming up for Mladen.
I agree, we can't have all the attention to detail and meticulous planning talk to then go into the season unprepared.
Excellent comments there Redders, and I think exactly the same. Hes been here long enough now, and its all about taking some responsibility. A lot of whats going wrong is on his shoulders, but I wonder if he himself still also tries to keep blaming it all on the previous two (and I'm not even going to say their names)!. And once again, what's all this about fans having personal "agendas", if/when they choose to criticise the owners like this ?.
