Yep, better than what I emailed him. "Heyup Ben, A minutes silence on Saturday, not applause. Cheers. Whitey X"
Re: I agree The world moves on, and so does the way we commemorate things. Can't be quiet for a full minute because OOH LOOK THERE'S A PICTURE OF A KITTEN or OH **** REECE BROWN IS LAIKIN'. Just remember. Silence, applause, steel-band, whistling, white noise, rustling crisp packets. Makes no difference how.
I totally agree with everyone on this. A minutes silence to remember the fallen heroes is the only way. I know it might be impossible to implement but why don't all you fans get together through social media and other means and put it out that although the club says a minutes applause will be had you all just stand in silence and show total respect as it should be done. TBH this is very embarrassing by the club.
Re: I agree I've just heard that the club has back tracked and a minutes silence will be observed. I for one am glad to hear this news.
Re: I agree United got it right on Saturday applause wile speaking about the Sheffield lad lost in 1993 and while talking about fallen Heroes from all wars then on the whistle total silence, it went from really loud, to pin drop quiet in a split second and made it brilliant
Nice that the club believes in it's fans to be respectful, can't remember us ever not being - you always get the people who haven't got a clue what's going on who carry on talking
