Just invested in a Cambridge TV5......£299 from Richer Sounds Sheffield....... Expensive but truly awesome!
Yeah the contact is with the retailer. However it's what policy the company buy it under Amazon will buy stock for cheaper prices but take a hit on ever faulty product. But other retailers will buy items what come with guarantees so if it goes faulty it's not going to cost. I worked on customer services in a store for 7 years and had many battles with customers about the repairs ect. I hated it. nothing worse than telling someone who's spent a lot of money on a product there going to be without it for up to 28 days. But that's how it went. To get something swapped you had to gain authorisation from the manufacture. However if I felt the customer was hard done by I would put myself in their shoes and if I wouldn't have been happy I would swap it time and make the authorisation number up. Naughty and probably could have got sacked for it. But nothing ever came back. Don't work there anymore and never will return.
