There's nothing about Jim McNulty to suggest that he will be our commanding centre back.

Foster might have been a better centre-half, but he can't play enough games to justify keeping him, unless we're running a charity for broken footballers all of a sudden.

They have played quite a few games, and, in my opinion, not up to the required standard.......both of em.

A strange thing to say given McNulty spent most of last season out injured!

Freeing up the wages of Foster, Hassell (100/70%), Edwards, Mcnulty (Reduced) is a clear indication to me, that Flicker is trying his best to try and create the resources needed to bring in a quality centre half and retain Cranie.

John Stead could be a done deal when Flicker gets back next week if you put the Don Rowing interview "we have spoke to his agent and its up to him now" and a week later in the Chronicle " John Stead is keen on a move to Barnsley". Or maybe just a contingency plan in case the O'Grady deal falls through? I thought he was great against us at Ashton Gate - looked strong, ran the channels well, looked good in the air and held the ball up. Maybe that was his shop window game because i know his wife Elizabeth wants to move back to Holmfirth closer to her parents.

As opposed to that McNulty who is as fit as a butchers dog and never gets injured...

pmsl, nice one. Jimmy Mcnulty was VERY poor in his first season, so poor that most people expressed shock when the players inexplicably gave him the player of the season award. He was awful then fannying about with the ball and then giving it away EVERY game and has been even worse this season doing exactly the same.
Alnwick is a very poor keeper. I've seen him play quite a few games including pre season and in pretty much every single one he has dropped howlers. The entire stadium crapped their pants every time the ball went near him.

Do the majority now believe Wiseman is decent? I reckon so. Because he improved once Keith left/Flicker took over.
The McNulty I saw against Burnley and Leeds was a different animal, and he was carrying a knock. Which he played with against Bristol.
In my pompous opinion, I think he's quality, and under Flicker he'll show that this year.
    POTY - bookmark it.

Two words. Scott Wiseman. Give him a chance ladies. The McNulty you're referring to is a pre-flicker McNulty.

Thank God. I was beginning to think that all the negativity I'd associated with being a Barnsley fan was disappearing. Slagging players off is part of being a true fan. Thank you for restoring my faith. In Flicker we trust!

McNulty and Alnwick are not good enough to progress BFC.......END
