He's scored 60 goals in the last two seasons despite playing all over for the good of the team.

People like you really annoy me Mr.C.
Can't wait to jump on the backs of anyone British.

What has Wayne Rooney's nationality got to do with anything? He's just not lived up to all the expectation put upon him when he first made it "big"

I think his attitude stinks, personally.

"With Manchester City, who are hopeful of completing the signing of Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo this week, unwilling to follow up their historic interest, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid showing no interest..."

Aye, he can take his pick...

    totally agreed RedStar

and this does not happen that often with us. But if anything the Premier league has done more damage than good to not only England, but all the home nations. Scotland, for instance. quite often qualified for the Euro's and the World cup finals....its a rarity now. As for Wales they now will NEVER qualify. I would love to see all our home nations get into the Final group phases. That would be good for the UK international football scene. I think the Football League is far more entertaining/honest than the Premier, and even if we went up I would still say the same.

One of the most overrated players in recent English history. And we are the kings of overrating. And he's still got $hit hair

If you had to pick a team of 11 players who ply their trade in the premier league, how many English players would be in that 11?

Plenty of 'keepers I'd pick before Joe Hart. Leighton Baines would be in my team, maybe Lampard on the bench.

People love to have ago at anything British.

Doesn't matter if it's Murray Farrell Mcilroy... anything people love to have ago.
Wayne is a brilliant player, thats not for debate and thats why Chelsea are after him and will offer him a contract that matches that.

I'd certainly choose Van Persie before Rooney,

It is for debate. To quote some sports hack on TalkSport today. "The worst first touch of any footballer paid over £100,000 a week, anywhere".

    It's not about being British.

Rooney is a proper **** no matter how you try to dress it up.

His actions speak louder than words.

Wayne Rooney is a good player. He has been **** on by Ferguson, more than once. Ferguson said Rooney asked for a transfer, which Rooney strongly denies. This and playing him out of position has screwed the lad up. He is wanting assurances from Moyes, but what has Moyes said. He will probably be on the bench as back up for Van Persie. If I was Rooney, I would now make a proper transfer request and tell Man U to shove it. He will become a better player under Mourinho, and probably pick up more trophies with Chelsea. Good home grown lad, and is being fukced about by Ferguson via Moyes who is playing his strings, Muppet
