Ok didnt win it though. Pompey did Didnt ever think thats bril, we got knocked out but in semis on that coach on way up.
I'm not sure what that's suppose to say but your staying undecided just so you don't admit your wrong.
Robbie Fowler knows what he's talking about though, and this is a real quote, unlike a certain poster's imaginary ones. "It strikes me that these days, clubs don't even want players who can truly play any more; they just want athletes, quick guys who don't have a football brain, can just run and run; some of them, Jesus. I can never imagine acting like that." - which means all modern footballers are ****. Especailly the likes of Walcott and Lennon.
hes not saying anyones ****. the facts are that you have to be fit to be in football. the games that quick and players are that strong any weakness will be highlighted. theo walcott's a very good footballer and not anywhere near iw peap. people forget is age. Lennons bril, spurs look a different and less attacking side with the west yorkshire born winger. a lot of people have said it was harrys biggest mistake on sunday. Every player needs to be good on ball even centre backs and keepers.
that comment never said anyone was ****. hes got a loy of respect for current prem players. watched him on liverpool tv, league of their own and hes got a loy of respect for players. arron lennon can play football, first saw him when he was 16 went to see leeds with a cousin and he can play.
2010 World cup final was watched by an estimated worldwide TV audience of 750 million 2011 Champions League final an estimated audience of 300 million. Obviously you'll find a way that proves that means the Champions League is bigger! l
No, it says clubs have got players who can't play football and have no footballing brain. I'd say that's a major setback for a footballer, not being able to play football and not having a football brain. So, he obviously means they're ****.
So you are saying you know more than Robbie Fowler? Robbie Fowler says they don't have a footballing brain. Robbie says that clubs don't want footballers any more, they want athletes. So he clearly doesn't rate modern footballers. Robbie Fowler reckons they can't play football, just run around a lot. But you say they have got footballing brains. You say they're very good players. So you're saying Robbie Fowler is wrong.
At least this debate has highlighted one inconsistency Whenever a professional football player, ex or current, says anything at all that Hemsworth agrees with then he rams it down our throat, pointing out time and again that we must be wrong because football players know much more about the game than us punters. The opinion of a player is worth ten thousand of ours. But here we have a former player saying something on which Hemsworth disagrees. So football players don't have the last word. In future Hemsworth won't be able to use that argument to prove he's right. When he comes on here saying so and so just agreed with him on talk sport and he must be right because he played the game, just point the lad back to this thread. Bookmark it people, I guarantee it will come in useful in the future. It may save your sanity. Although I'd suggest that if you're arguing with Hemsworth you're already mad.
