Simple question, yes or no, are you happy to have this person as our sponsor?

    upload_2022-8-9_11-21-42.jpeg

Forget what people at the match are saying, or anything like that. Are you happy to have them as BFC’s sponsor?

Really, give your a head a shake. Of course there shouldn’t be a need for food banks in a society that claims to be as advanced as ours. Why the fek would people complain about the club getting involved with something that’s rapidly becoming a need for larger and larger sections of our community. Getting annoyed by the need for food banks is what we all should do, but getting annoyed by our club being involved with them is basically inhumane in my book.

Look again at what I put. It wasn't the club getting involved but the need for them that I mentioned. I wish the UK and the world didn't ever need it to be a thing and that is more a bigger issue than the sponsorship for me.

If I got you wrong on this then I apologise Higgy, but perhaps it’s your style of writing that confuses the point you’re making

How are the 2 issues relevant to each other?

I think the cost of living crisis is a much bigger issue than the club signing James Norwood and Nicky Cadden. Does that mean you'll shut up about them?

I notice you conveniently dodged @JamDrop 's simple question there. I have defended you recently but I honestly don't think the BBS is a good place for you or your wellbeing.

I've just read this thread in one sitting and my head hurts. I like to think that I have a degree of intelligence however I'm struggling to understand how we've found ourselves in this position and what our sponsors are/do/want. It currently feels like we're being sponsored by the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland and God helps us.

You're wasting keystrokes on him. He chose not to reject the suggestion of a swastika on the shirt yesterday if the price was right.

B0ll0cks to him. What about everyone else’s well-being? He’s single handedly trying to kill this forum. Needs dropping permanently before we lose a massive chunk of posters who are as sick to death of him as I am.

There is more to it than that, and it isn't for me to spell it out, but personally I don't think he should be on here and there should be a duty of care.

You can't have views like that though and then conveniently ignore any reasonable challenges to it as Jamdrop has done along with others- that isn't debate and it isn't respectful to others.

I’m pretty sure most folk aren’t following the ins and outs of all this. They go to the games. At best maybe notice we’ve got a new sponsor. Nothing to see here. But hard times are coming. Folk will try to make the most of what money they have. They find out the new sponsor is something to do with finance and they offer a 38% return on your money. Now that’s impressive. And if this company are on the shirt, then BFC must think they’re ok to deal with. Then they lose everything. The lot. It might be a few people, it might only be one - but that’s one person too many. And if that person was a relative of Higgy, even he might start to think differently. By then of course it’s too late. And as for the club, well it would have blood on its hands.

Can't believe how far and fast my mood has dropped. I left the ground feeling positive on Saturday, for the first time in a while too.

Then this all kicks off I'm now feeling as bad if not worse than the end of last season. No sponsor is perfect, most have dodgy practices of some kind in their history but this one is in the here and now, people denouncing hard fought rights as cheap jokes, belittling and trolling fans.

Give the sponsorship to the Market Kitchen or a charity for the rest of the season. Honestly, I don't care. Just give back the money, remove Hex and we'll deal with the consequences. Personally I'd rather see us as a club that operates on as ethical a basis as possible as opposed to hawking dodgy coins or sportwashing.

That’s fair Titus. It was meant to be a funny, throw away comment but I was possibly a bit blunt and might not have come across great.

I do think it’s best for everyone if he is removed from the ‘theatre of conflict’. And my point about it driving folk away still stands.

Has the CEO walked yet or is he waiting to be relieved of his duties?

If we manage to cancel the deal will it be referred to as Hexit?

I guess where I was coming from is that Bitcoin isn't owned by an individual, isn't a company, or a brand, and is just an open payment network that anyone with access to the internet can take part in. Similarly, when Bitcoin launched as the first ever wallet company, it was released as open software by the guy who's name escapes me. If you take ETH, that's a blockchain platform, which is where I was going with financial tool.

You're right though, Hex.com is a website. But ignoring what HEX is and the people who started it, isn't it similar to what the BBS did in sponsoring Aiden Marsh? The BBS isn't a company, but I suppose you could argue it's a brand.
