You were correct, it was a joke but only Fired would have understood it, so with hindsight it was a bit daft putting it on here.

I was lucky enough to go to a celebration dinner in Bradford last year and Hannah and her family were sat on our table. Next to me sat a young lady of 15 with just stumps instead of arms and legs. She and Hannah entertained us the whole evening and the young lady couldn't stop laughing. I felt so small in their company and when Hannah went up on stage and made an awe-inspiring speech I was in tears, so much so that she notice and ribbed me about it when she came back.

After her speech a tool who introduced himself as a Sheffield Wednesday fan stood up and made a speech to thank Hannah, only he kept calling her Heather instead. He was trying to make a serious speech but everybody was laughing at him, and he couldn't understand why. Even Hannah herself was in stiches.

    I'd forgotten about that.

    I'll send Heather your regards.

World Champion Ronnie O'Sullivan for me but as he's not made the short list it'll have to be Ben Ainslie.

For some reason many disabled sports are run/managed by the non-disabled. As a result few disabled people, be they athletes or not get to be in senior and influential positions in sport.

To a certain extent you a right, but having worked in disability sport for 20 years, I can honestly say that our organisation has made every effort to help disabled people into key roles. We have run numerous initiatives (employment projects, leadership initiatives etc). We have helped disabled people into jobs in sport, and are just about to roll out another project to get disabled people involved in the running of sports clubs.

All I can say is that it has never been an issue of our organisation turning disabled people away, there just hasn't been the uptake at the top level. I currently have a (volunteer) vacancy for a Chairperson of one of our member groups (effectively leading sport across Yorkshire for Disabled people). It would suit a retired person, or perhaps a disabled volunteer who is into sport, but is not in a position to take on a full time job. I can't get anyone to even consider it.

We have had disabled people on our staff team, and on our management team also. By the way. Tanni Greay Thompson is involved in the running of disabled and non disabled sport at the highest possible level, and there are a few others, but I'd agree it's not enough.

    Ronnie O'Sullivan on the shortlist?

    If so, him.

If not, I'd side with Andy Murray.

Can't see a third cyclist on the spin winning it. And he has no personality to speak of. But then, neither does Murray really. So that's why Ronnie deserves it considering his achievements the last couple of years and his great persona.

Tyson Fury runner up. King Keith 3rd.

There was a Doc about Murry whitey and he was good in it. The other Tennis players also say hes a good guy whos funny ect.
So i think saying hes not got a personality or whatevers good to say. He just don't like the press very much and I don't blame him.

I saw that documentary, and I already liked the bloke before watching it. But maybe the organisers should drop the 'personality' bit from the award title.

I remember Gazza winning it. Not for winning owt, but for his personality.
