RE: Why not extend it to 30 years? because that is not a fair comparison. The diversity of alternative entertainment coupled with the current high level of admission makes it so. I think the entry fee when the east stand was first built was less than a fiver, it's now over £20.

in that case niether is the mid/late eighties as town still depressed after miners strike which had a massive effect upon attendance at Oakwell.

Sticking with what you have got all the way into the conference just does not make sense but it seems to be the option that most on here would adopt just for the sake of continuity.
