That explains that then, and can't say I fault him or the club for the clauses inserted.

Be nice if the club could let us know he's left though. Well, not let us know, we already do, but tha nus.

No he wasn't. It was well documented that he was offered a one year deal, Mansford came in and sorted a 2 year deal. Flitcroft said it himself.

Don left May 31st. I'm looking at the accounts right now where it says when he left.

Steele was offered a one year contract. He was 'too old' if you remember to be offered any longer. Steele was going to bugger off until Ben came in and offered him a two year deal.

Club website I realise so not always up to date but this was dated at the beginning of June and it said Don was leaving at the end of June.

'kin'ell, apologies, my mistake. The accounts say: Mr Rowing ceased to be a director after 31 May but prior to the date of this report. I jumped straight in with two feet, without reading it properly, sorry.

However, Ben Mansford was appointed as CEO on 4th of June and it was he who negotiated the Luke Steele Contract.

No need for an apology. The thought occurred to me that the basics of the contract including the release clauses were already there except it was a one year deal and Steele wanted longer which Ben was happy to concur with. Either way I think DB3K was probably being a tad harsh with the current regime for stating clauses like that in contracts were a thing of the past.
