Absolutely quality the lad, especially today.
He's had to deal with countless shots fired at him, due to our often inept midfield and defence, and has always dealt with them very well. Because he might not pluck a shot that's fired into a corner is no reason to criticise any keeper.

This. Steele is a terrific keeper at our level. I wonder what some people actually see at games.

Not far off being the most stupid post of the season.

He's one player we need to try and keep hold of next season if we stand a chance of bouncing straight back,

probably cos his kicking at times is a bit woefull, big fekin deal imo his shot stopping more than makes up for that and we won't get a quality keeper as him for the money we pay

Precisely, he isnt perfect but if he was he wouldn't be playing for us. What he does do, keeping the ball out of the net, he does bloody well in my opinion.

course I'm joking, because I'm not allowed my opinion on here, am I??

are you telling me, in all honesty, he has one 'good game' makes a few saves in a very important match to us, but then lets in 3 goals, at least TWO of which, as i pointed out, WERE IN THE CORNERS of the goal????
are you also telling me his kicking has been fantastic all year? are you telling me he has been a commanding keeper for us too?
are you telling me that there aren't any better keepers out there?

i will also point out that i was in the company of a wolves fan today, who stated, 'Goldbourne is only one of two players in contention for POTY here for me.'
is my mates opinion **** too?

some people on here need to get a check on how many brain cells they actually have before slagging others off (and thats not a dig at you JD)!!!!

BUT i am entitled to MY opinion, as others are on here.

so, finally, Steele, in MY OPINION has cost us more points than he has saved us due to bad goalkeeping mistakes.

    END OF...

Am I missing something? You seem to keep repeating this corners of the goal thing as if you think that these are the easiest shots to save. Now I'm not saying i'm right and you're wrong or owt but one of us is thick as pig **** here, either you are or I am.

You appear to be saying that a shot into the corner of the net is an easy shot to save and if they beat a keeper then he is useless, I on the other hand think that a shot down the middle, or at a comfortable height to the side, or on the floor or the top of the net within the keepers reach are the easier ones to save and those in the very corners of the goal are practically impossible to save regardless of who's in goal. So come on, which of us is thick here?

Ok the Pingi could you at least tell us one thing

where on Earth will we get a keeper as good as Luke Steele to join us in league one. I respect your opinion of the mans capability , I disagree largely, but still respect your view. But here is my only question to you, if we get rid of him where the hell are we gonna get as good a keeper as him, to join us in L1 and on our budgets too. In L1 he will be fabulous, and that's my opinion.

    1 good game ? really ?

Yes he let 3 goals in, 1 was when the players were all slapping themselves on the back, the other 2 were when we had pushed players up and were constantly caught 4 against 2...oh and how dare a goalie not get to a shot in the corner

personally if i was you i would stop typnig

We would have been 4 or 5 down yesterday without him and in quite a few games this season. If anyone thinks we can attract a better keeper in League 1 I presume they are on day release from some sort of institution maybe Elland Road or summat.

He has his flaws but he'll be just about the best keeper in league one.

I wish he'd talk more though. Bit too quiet for my liking. I like my goalies at the back 4 all the time
