Only if you take it too seriously! Anyway I’m down in London near Tower Bridge and it just cost me £5.29 for a pint of Budweiser… where’s the fun in that!
It was a **** pint to be fair. And the chef is off sick in the hotel so I’m going to have to venture out and get something elsewhere.
You walk into a bar in the capital, it's exciting, the pace of life is fast, the women far superior to those at home, the streets are paved with gold. You take stock of all this giddy excitement and peruse the variety of drinks on offer, taking it all in. There's real ale, IPA, cider, wine, spirits, even craft lager. It might be the city air, but the choice is overwhelming, you can't decide and then you hear yourself meekly proclaim 'barkeep, I'd like a pint of your very worst beer. Yeah, the one that's only here to keep the daft American tourists happy. I'd like a pint of that.'
Hourihane is 33 now he's just what some have been bairning for all last season a leader with experience. He could fill kanes role, he likes the club and is a legend to many. Stendel wouldn't have half as good of a team as he did last time and would need some backing in a tough league one. Stendel has done little since leaving turned one of the bigger sides in the spl into relegation fodder (hearts)but saying that so did hecky with hibs and some would love him back too. I've always been a big believer in thanks for the memories but no thanks.
It was in the hotel bar. There was no decent ale. And a hotel receptionist served it up with at least a centimetre too much head. I’ve vacated the hotel now and am exploring the pub next door which claims it will be showing the football later. Got a pint of Asahi as didn’t want to spoil my appetite and that should have been £7.25 but I got it for 2 quid as a deal with my meal.
Congratulations on finding the cheapest pint in London! I reckon that'd be a pretty good find even here in Birmingham.
