Very Sad News I hope his passing was a peaceful one. Thanks for taking out the time and letting us know. I'm sure we all appreciate that. Condolences once again, Stephen
Good idea, Mick. I'd like to think the club would make a gesture by passing on the monies raised to a suitable charity of Steve's family's choice.
I am so sorry to hear your sad news. Steve was a well liked poster on this board and will very much be missed. My condolences to you and your family.
SteveS Bright, brave and battling Barnsley through and through. I never met him but felt I knew him. On a board seemingly full of moaners at the time, Steve kept the faith. I'm glad he fought on to see us get promotion.
Like many others who visited this BBS, I always found Steves' posts inspirational, he'll be truly missed and never forgotten. RIP Steve S.
I used to read his diary entries ... I couldn't believe the 'matter of fact' way he dealt with his cancer. I don't know if I could be so brave. I hope you will accept my sincere condolences at this sad time.
Dave

Words alone rarely offer much comfort ... but you should take some comfort in the knowledge that your father gained the respect of an awful lot of people who had never even met him through his "Dear Diary" entries. It was refreshing to see someone, who despite all that was happening to him, could still remain so positive. I hope that all is as well as can be in the circumstances and you should try your best to celebrate your fathers life rather than mourn his loss.
RE: from one Scargill to another Deepest sympathy to all the family. He fought his illness with bravery and dignity.RIP
