I'd back Lampard to score

but Gerrard to put the crunching tackle in that puts Ronaldino out of the game, and drag the best out of those around him.

I'd prefer Gerrad on the right ,

but with a licence to get involved in the middle.

Liverpool are a better team with Alonso n Sissoko/Hamman in the middle with Gerrard playing a bit wider.

Gerrard can cross a great ball , beat a man , and can get support the full-back.

Would mean Beckham sitting it out but I would give it a go.

    RE: Frank Lampard...

Frankie Lamps is good but he's not up there with Gerrard. He reminds me of Paul Scholes a few years back in that he always pops up with goals but thats pretty much it. Gerrard does it all...tackles back, drives the team on, scores. Sven doesn't give him the same freedom as Benitez does so he often has to sit back whilst Frank goes bombing forward, hence he's less effective. An option might be sticking Gerrard on the right and playing Lampard and a holding player like Carrick in the middle. Can't see Sven dropping his bum chum Beckham mind you!

I disagree. Gerrards a great player but he couldn't tackle a Sunday dinner.

    I'd have Beckham only

if Owens fit. cos he has the ability to find him from 50 yrds which the opposition are aware of, they have to sit back and thus creates room for Rooney to play infront of the defence. if Owen doesnt make it, I'd play Gerrard, Lampard and Cole in front of Ledley King, let them get forward, with the option to bring on Wright Phillips and let him run at their left back in the 2nd half.

we've got options, hope Sven can choose the right one.

    Champions League final

20 minute cameo as a world class right back. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen him nail the opposition in a 50/50 that sets the mood. honestly, watch him, on his game, the finished article.

He does like a comedy 2-foot lunge every now and again.

If push came to shove I would play him at right back.

I can't agree with any of you

As you've clearly forgot to count Owen Hargreaves.

    Forgot about Hargreaves

I've changed my opinion on human testing.

save dogs, kill Hargreaves. then Sheron. then back to dogs.

Tony Daley could probably sort out problems on the left.

To be honest I'd give Franz Carr a go.

    RE: Frank Lampard...

lampard can pass the ball just as well as gerrard can and more likely to score goals,if i was to buy either of them it would be lampard.

Owen Hargreaves - FFS hes a waste of genetic material

Svens bum boy though, probably becasue hes got curly hair and plays to the same standard as Emile Heskey
