Well I think he'd want something quiet and understated, he always came across as been very humble.

I always thought Lampard was like a less good Neil Recfearn. Gerrard I've always thought was wasted by a succession of England managers.

Brilliant player, one of England's best over the last 15 years or so, although that isn't saying much. Will be remembered more by Liverpool fans than neutrals like myself, or for his England exploits (or lack of).

Preferred Lampard myself, of the two. And Scholes of course. But after those two, I think I'd have to say he's been the best English midfielder since Gascoigne. But none of those three were on Paul's level. He could do what all three of them could, by himself. And he was a loon. God I yearn for another Gazza. And looking at football in this country right now, we're no ******* closer to finding one.

See how he lines up against Brek Shea in the MLS that will tell you how good Gerrard is.

Saw a video of him yesterday, and one thing that stands out is the fact he's had the same haircut every season. That's consistency is that.

I have 3 or 4 different styles between cuts.

I'm not sure Whitey is the right person to be asking about hair styles.

    So, since I was 16?

Kinel, where do I start. At that age I had different colour hair every other week. I've never really been one for long hair, owing to the fact I've been fighting the bald gene all my life, but I've had ******* **** loads of 'styles'. But as I got to my mid twenties I settled for short back and sides or slight variations of that and I still do.

I can't believe some have Lampard as better than Gerrard. Each to their own & all that but I didn't even think it was a debate. If you see any polls Lampard's always a mile behind. Brilliant goal scoring midfielder but nowhere near as good in any other areas.

Throughout his career Lampard couldn't be trusted to play in a midfield 2 by his club managers. When he did play in one for England he was found wanting. The England issue one wasn't a Gerrard & Lampard problem it was a Frank Lampard problem. Gerrard played regularly in a midfield 2 for Liverpool & excelled.

Most of Gerrard's career he played with inferior players but in the few seasons he had genuine world class players like Alonso, Mascherano & Torres around him he out scored & got more assists than Lampard & was a contender for the Ballan D'or never mind the best in the prem.

For me Gerrard & Scholes were a level above Lampard. I think Lampard's own cousin Redknapp summed it up when he said what made Gerrard the best was that he could do what all of Vieira, Keane, Scholes & Lampard could do.

Gerrard was shafted by England like Scholes before him. The team was built around poorer players like Beckham & Owen when we'd have been better off building around a midfield 3 of Gerrard, Scholes plus a holding midfielder. Instead Gerrard & Scholes both spent time on the left wing & holding role because they were more versatile than Lampard.
