Awful performance today. Didn't look like scoring and shakey at the back. What could go wrong did. And it wasn't a good watch
Give up, they dropped just shy of the play offs last season, massive overreaction statement that Altrincham or Marine anyone nah losing to a team in the same division
You have to give credit to Stevenage, played us perfectly, physical, determined, battled for every ball and every inch of turf, took their chances, shut shop when pressured, may not be the Barcelona of the league but sure showed us how to win in league 1 Well done to them Lesson learned (I hope) for us Now opened a beer and having a singsong to myself lol "Sad sweet dreamer It's just one of those things you put down to experience"
i've been at the Blue Plaque unveiling for the the Duchess of York / John Keenan, (promoter). Saw the second half & 3 minutes of the first. They have done a job on us. I'm afraid the keeper looks lost at sea. Need to regroup after this. We deserved the scoreline second half.
Oh well, the mighty Bannan scored what looked like a late winner but then QPR scored an equaliser! Couldn't bear listening to them being smug on P&G!
It was nearly 10. It's Stevenage mate and we've got hammered. They've scored more today than they have the whole of the rest of the season put together. Make whatever excuses you like but it's one of the worst results of the last 10 years. It's right up there with the likes of the thumpings at Rochdale and Crawley. Proper embarrassing.
This is why I hate cup games against the big teams, if it was the FA cup far enough but the premier league cup. That was bad and as mentioned drop them all for old Trafford and play the under 21’s. We offered nothing today, from front to back we were bad. The only player who can hold his head up was Jalo. Was it the players or was it down to Clarke.
Over the last few weeks I have had refunds from iFollow for picture quality and lack of picture, wonder if I can chance my arm and ask for a refund due to absolutely shocking football
If he doesn’t hold his hands up and say he got it wrong today; if he tries to put it on the players or searches for excuses, then there’s a black mark against his name. We can have a bad day, he’s allowed to get it wrong on occasion, but he needs to own it. It’s all well and good saying it as it is until it’s on you. You have to back it up. We will see.
OK Altrincham was less than 10 years ago and last season we scrapped a draw against Horsham at home, we've been knocked out of cups by lower league opposition over last few years but today we've been beaten up by a team who were close to the playoffs last season, I'm not defending the performance but saying its one of the most embarrassing defeats in recent history is exaggerating things based on where they finished last season. If we lose to wrexham and Stockport this season will they be embarrassing?
I'm going to wait until I hear about Pines (injured or tactical) before I comment. I stated at half time it was a game we need the big American. Let's see. What I will say is we were the only team that played any football but they did deserve the victory.
An utterly needless loss against a disgustingly poor side, and yet they were better than us because Clarke decided to cack the bed and just have his team launch the ball to their center halves all game. Absolutely bizarre tactics and that really worries me about what else he's going to needlessly switch up to our detriment this season.
100% my fault. I take full responsibility. Sadly, we're not due to go on holiday again until September 2025. Please accept my apologies.
