That's the thing. I never truly believe our players weren't good enough. I would say to people what's going off but still tell them that I thought the players would be good enough. Said to someone in person that I thought we could still reach the play offs after doing a little bit of math of ppg needed. That was the day Barnsley played Fleetwood first leag in the JPT. I bet he thought I was metal.
I said it to all and sundry in November. I saw enough talent on show, it was getting them away from the tippy tappy nowhere football of 4-3-3 and picking the best players for each position. Like picking your goalscorer supreme up front with a target alongside. Rather than out wide or alone up front. Not rocket science, despite LJ's best attempts to make it look as though it was. And no, you're not metal. Tinfoil ont head, maybe.
I think If Barnsley sign a name like Jack Butland then yes of course but when they play for Barnsley I expect them to be the best available and to perform
So a prem loanee here for the short term makes you happier than someone brought in from the lower leagues and willing to progress and improve?
For all people think about me liking to play young players the thing that I and i'd presume every fan want are wins and i'm sure if you didn't want to try and belittle me Jack Tatty you would say the same. Winning Football makes things good. Means you can be a good development side. Fans will be more relaxed with players coming into the team. I don't go to watch the first team to see development first. That's a good extra. For me, I don't want Bree to play because he's young or can improve I want him to play because he's the best we have at the moment. Same goes for the others I like. Adam Davies Alfie Mawson ..................
Yep, you did keep saying it Whitey. And if memory serves me well, I think we both have said that the match that really put the message out that we were a team of talent, hard work and ability, with a real chance of doing something in the run up to the end of season, was the 1-0 win at Bradford. Man for man, the performance of the season for me. Right back at left back, Roberts on as sub and nailed his, place in the side. Just quality all over the park that night. And the real foundation for what happened later on. Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
Indeed it was my friend. I knew after that performance that we were onto summat. We then lost Johnson and only improved.
Bloody hell the seasons not started and I'm already sick of people sniping at our players. Both dull and treacherous. Typical sky generation of fans no idea about team ethic or supporting your team just tossing off about players we loaned who were decent but will never be ours. Onwards and upwards.
Who says i am trying to belittle you? I am disagreeing with you and confused by some of your contradictory posts.
