Mads replacing Pinnock was a disaster. It took a combination of breaking 'the model' to sign Solbauer, the season being suspended and Wigan being docked points to save us from relegation.
Getting a good striker must be the hardest job, after we had both fletcher and Toney, who would have thought which one would be a 100 million striker and the other struggling for a game at wednesday
Don't really rate Cole tbh' weak as watter and very disinterested at times' Cosgrove has also been a big dissappointment' i was hoping to get a big bustling centre forward in the mould of Duncan ferguson or Andy carrol but he seems to have a heart like a pea' we'd have been better signing 34 year old Matt smith' we look extremely weak up front.
You think col3 is as poor as watters? Coles scored over 30 goals in 2 seasons. Way watters has looked this season he won't score that rest of his career.
I think there’s a sentence break in there. Saying they don’t rate Cole. “Weak as Watter” is a separate comment. I think. I don’t think Watters is as bad as some make out but I don’t see how anyone could say Cole is on the same level as him.
i read Fergie’s biography his take on transfers was really interesting when you take the levels he worked at. 25% will be definite ‘successes’. 25% will be qualified success where they don’t cost the club much money but don’t make an impact and 50% will be ‘failures’. On those percentages we do quite well fishing in a much smaller pool.
Oulare alone was getting paid about 10k a week I heard for a player who had hardly kicked a ball in 5 seasons before we signed him. Jon Russell had played in the championship play offs with Huddersfield the season before we signed him and played most of the season for them. The "spreadsheet" is just using data to identify targets 99% of clubs do it. Although I'd used to like it when we signed players from the league below who were young and hungry.
