You're not the only one. I was SO excited when we appointed Spackman. Unfortunately, he turned out to be a bit ****.
Could never understand how a person who talked so much sense and understanding of the game of football on television ended up being so shi t on the actual job .
If we are going down the route of a new coach outside the present set up then my message to the board is as follows ready ..... Steady COOK .....
He was such a classy player. And I thought he was a just a party animal. Coke and bimbo's. And at age around 35 he came to play for Sydney. That would have been around div4 standard. I watched him particularly for more than a season. He was the consumate professional. He trained hard. He warmed up before matches in what looked like a well thought out personal system. He brought out the best in all the youngsters in the team. He moved back into midfield so he could do more for the team. He interacted with all the fans. I'd say he was a great influence on the whole club..
To be honest, I'm just going on the fact that he appears to have abandoned his child who has severe learning difficulties. But of course, I only know about him what we read in the media. Maybe he would be a good appointment from a footballing point of view.
This is a blow. We were just starting to look like we had a system that the players knew and stability. Stability is exactly what we need at the moment. fingers crossed we find someone who can continue his good work, that may be from within.
I just opened a thread questioning the system. I’m not sure we know what it is. I don’t blame Struber as I believe we are now trying to make a system fit the players rather than the other way.
This thread shows, in a nutshell, that the vast majority of posters on the BBS, are absolutely mental.
Until you log on to any of the BFC fans' Facebook pages, and then you start to think that most people on here are actually quite measured.
