I'm not disputing that he's given a lot up but spending that amount of money on an unknown who is probably going to be in league 1 next year smacks of desperation. Makes me even more annoyed re not backing Daniel, a stitch in time and all that.

My opinion is that the board cash in at the first sniff of profit, instead of fully waiting for their investment to mature.....

Is it the same recruitment team? Lindsay and Pinnock were signed when Cryne still owned the club. As were all the great players we've signed (and sold) over the last number of years. We signed Woodrow while the current board were in charge, but he's the only one who I'd mention in the same breath as those we've sold for not enough money. Has nothing changed with that team since Conway et al arrived? It's as it was and they have no input?

I don't know for definite Jay but I haven't heard anything about the recruitment team being disbanded. As far as I'm aware its the same team with the same job of identifying targets with the coach.

Somethings definitely changed for sure, either personnel or strategy. They did a fantastic job for 2/3 years but seem to have lost the plot this past 12 months or so.

    Exactly.
Struber definitely was NOT a cheap option.
And the reason they signed Struber was for the same reason they signed Stendel.
It’s for their method of playing.
Basically the goalkeeper is the first line of attack.
Patrick spoke about this at meetings and this philosophy has been adopted by these owners.
If people listened to what has been said - it’s blatantly obvious why Struber was appointed - so why isn’t others on here talking about this?

Our recruitment has worked wonders in the past - but they got it wrong this time. Especially with central defenders. Although saying that I have every confidence these centre backs will come good in time.
But we just haven’t got the time to wait.

These owners have consistently said they are here for the long haul.
I believe they will get it right sooner rather than later.

My only gripe with them is their total lack of communication with supporters.
And this started with Ganaye and has continued under Murphy - so it looks like the instruction to remain quiet is coming from the top.

A lot of these players will look a lot better in 12 months time, in L1.
