    True. Cashing in while his stock is high in full knowledge life can go pear shape quickly. As we have a relegation clause in his contract, he might have been sacked but for Wigan's plight.

    No inside knowledge and not what I want. Heard the same rumours as others have about a zoom interview this week coming. Based on past performance, we can't keep hold of decent players, or managers. Barnsley is a stepping stone to everyone but the fans.

    Watford are barmy if they're willing to pay 1 m for a manager who did well in half a season in champ. Can't see it happening myself. Also think Struber has more sense than to go to a team who sack a manager every three months and dont necessarily have players suited to his style of play.

    Don't forget, Struber left a team in the Europa League to manage a club bottom of the English 2nd tier, and 7 points from safety.

    I'd say he's happy to take a risk or two.

    Struber will have been linked for a reason. Certainly the bookies had him up there for a while. It seems very likely that the link between Stendel and Huddersfield had some substance. Unfortunately with that situation it seems to have soured the relationship between Stendel and the board. Hopefully Struber can return with a positive mindset and he and the board are as one.

    Reckon he's dodged a bullet there Gerhard. If he can get us to mid table by January he'll have a trail of suitors beating a path to his door,having shown that last season wasn't a one off.
