Sorry, I was referring to him being unelected by the people of Britain. Yes, he was elected as leader of the NUM. Clumsily worded by me. How is it "right wing" to oppose the anti-democratic antics of an antagonistic Marxist? Did he give a damn about the workers? I don't think so.

Sounds as though they've got their views on what he/ she's heard or thinks rather than from factual study

    "The enemy within"

It was a quote used many times over the years against workers who had the audacity to stand up for their rights. First used around 1900, then in the strikes of the 20's, resurrected again (I think) by Ted Heath in the 70's, then claimed as her own by the Witch in the 80's.

They don't like workers who don't kow down and do as they are told ;)

For persistence the Liverpool one "Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiverpool, Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiverpool, Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiverpool, Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiverpool, Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiverpool, Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiverpool" ad nauseum is always terrible and puts me to sleep.

Special mention for Man United this season with the most camp chant out there "Come on David Moyes, play like Fergie's boys, go wild wild wild". Just sounds like they want to shout BOYS BOYS BOYS over and over again. It is also factually inaccurate since David Moyes himself will not be playing like Fergie's boys.

Scargill's chief aim was to use his position to bring down an elected government. He was never shy to admit that. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

I was around at the time too. At primary school, but I was around. Anyway, what's that got to do with anything? I wasn't around during the First World War or Nazi Germany but I have opinions on those and many other historical events and periods.
