    He will move on at some stage, but I hope he can shine for us for another season at least, be it in the Championship, or as an outside chance in the Premier League. He is improving & learning all the time & to my mind would do better staying with us, if we can keep him. If Mowatt leaves I'd expect him to largely feature more centrally, which I assume is really his preferred position & he would have a chance to shine in that area. A player that can play more than one more position is useful to all clubs. Milner is a classic example of that.

    For now speculation is a bit pointless. Let's see the outcome of this season. It has been a belter.

    I have a mate whose family is Hungarian. Other than him being called Bela I would not have guessed, as he was born here & has a Yorkshire accent & likes drinking real ale. His dad came over in '53 & established a bunch of hotels near Headingley cricket ground. Bela converted them all to flats, which was a clever move as a massive Premier Inn was established here recently. DNA tests would show most of us not to be of even Anglo Saxon origin in the most part & I'm hard pressed to see many differences, other than Eastern European women largely being better looking. Being boringly hetrosexual I'm not sure if the blokes are too. If I was a player I'd probably take the call from the first country that called me up, if they were half decent, as you might not get another chance. Bale I suppose is an exception that would have played for England, but has surely earned a separate god like status for Wales he might still not have got for England. Food for thought. Big Mick is Yorkshire through & through & I'm sure he has no regrets playing for the Republic & managing them also.
