    That'll be where the extra brass goes.

    whats the best sort of setup to go for??

    straight to Disc
    Straight to Hard Drive...

    Whats advantage over each other??

    struggling with this one misen, was thinkin 'bout getting a DVD recorder, but it seems that their is alsorts to look out for
    I have...

    Normal Panasonic Wide Screen TV (not HD)
    Panasonic Sky Digital Receiver

    One of those eye things that allows you to watch Sky Upstairs (but on the same channel, ad allows you to control from upstairs)

    Upstairs is a combined TV/VRC

    connected to PC is an old VRC

    Currently If I wish to put on DVD is either record upstairs and play in VCR and capture on PC and Burn.

    Surely I would be able to do this better via a DVD recorder, but what the hell do you look out for and where do you start??

    Any answers would be very gratefully received...

    I recently got the Sony RDRX etc .....

    Records off digital, onto my hard and/or my Digitally Versatile Disk and is really top banana.  Tell 'em Airy sent yer and you'll get a discount I bet.
