I just can’t see it when we’ll need a keeper, two left backs, a central midfielder & two forwards

Well if we’re going to ship nigh on 70 goals again it’ll be a relegation battle as we sure as hell won’t score anywhere near 80 I’d have thought.
I get where you’re coming from because of the number of centre halves we already have but the same can be said for forwards and you have us down for two more. We already have Cosgrove, Watters, Jalo, Dallas and Shaw. Plus it wouldn’t surprise me if we retain Marsh.

In fairness I’ve already assumed Dallas & Shaw have gone. I appreciate we’ll probably have to pay them off but I can’t see them playing for us where as I can at least see the centre backs I don’t rate as back ups but it’s a fair point you make.

I’m hoping we keep Marsh & I’d like to see us sign some full backs & wingers & at least play 4-3-3 on occasion which might mean we get 3 forwards on the pitch.

I am not convinced that there is a great a difference in standard currently between Leagues One and Two. There is a huge gulf between League One and the Championship, but Plymouth, Wednesday and Ipswich have done very impressively in surviving, or going further still. What I am saying is that we should be able to recruit very good League Two players who would transition smoothly into League One. I am in favour of our recruiting very good players from this season's League One, however. I see that Bosun Lawal is already being linked with the likes of Derby and Bolton, but at around £300k, which is a snip. Whilst we are unlikely to be as attractive as either of those two clubs, it does show that really good proven League One (and Two) players are available at reasonable prices. DOF needs to get cracking on these now.
