I take all these with a pinch of salt though as it was efl hub who said jalo was off to Leeds in January.
This rumour alone shows what a rubbish twitter page EFL Hub is, given the right back position is the only position we have 3 available players, I can’t see that being true. Not to mention we don’t sign anyone over 30. Has that page ever got anything right?
Cadden will be leaving and Cotter isn't good enough for regular starts. Hope there is truth in it because he's exactly the type we need.
Caddens will need replacing but he’s a left back not a right back so that makes no difference. Even if cotter goes we’d still have O’keefe and Lofthouse.
Here is a collection of all the Barnsley rumours they’ve posted over the years. I know some deals might not materialise but there’s a large number wrong here for me to take them as a credible source.
Sibley will join us. Free. Released from Derby. He's still young. He's experienced also. Ticks every box.
I hope he can kick on for us next season but it would be interesting to see what reaction it would get if we did get bids for him.
There should be no selling of anybody at this moment in time. The new coach needs to assess the squad and determine the best angle for the coming season. If the board sell now before they've even appointed a manager just because they get a cheeky bid I'm not going at the start of the season. I've had enough of short-termism. Get the coach in, have a good chat and attempt to actually build a team even if you don't achieve it.
Alan Nixon linking him to Wigan. Says the scouser is interested in a return to the North West and could agree terms. Would be a very good signing for any league 1 club. Especially for nothing.
Fully expect wigan to have a good go at it next season, was always going to be a transition season after relegation and a points deduction. Expect Charlton under Jones to be top 6, Reading will be better but won't threaten but still attractive to players despite their poor owner, then there's Huddersfield, Rotherham under Evans, Birmingham will throw a few quid at it, Peterborough under ferguson can never be ruled out, the play off final loser and chuck Lincoln into the mix. Very very tough league next season I think there's a much bigger list of potential top 6 clubs than last season. Would love us to get a Head coach in ideally who knows what's needed and try and get a good chunk of our business done earlier
I’ll throw max deans name in the list no links but someone who the club looked at in January and had a bid turned down for wouldn’t be surprised to see us go back in for him
