Shaw definitely does, was a strange one for sure, Duff suggested himself that he had no say in that one, did nothing of note before, did nothing of note under Duff and nothing of note on loan this past season. Dallas I think has more potential in him but needs a L2 loan under him before we can consider him anywhere near the 1st team squad.

Charlie Goode would be a great signing. Bags of experience at L1 level and above.

My only worry with Charlie Goode is that he's played less than 40 games in the last 4 seasons in all competitions combined. He's one I certainly liked when he was at Northampton, but for whatever reason, he never really kicked on. Though I guess, if he had, he wouldn't have been linked with league 1 sides in what should probably be his prime years.

I’d love it if we got Bosun Lawal on a season loan and play him in midfield alongside Connell and Phillips

Somebody that we've been linked with in the past, Matthew Bondswell, has been released by Newcastle.

    Think both need to go.

Dallas is 24 and could not hold down a spot on either loan this season, we have a bloated squad in my opinion and think it's time we are a bit ruthless and trim those we can that aren't performing. We shouldn't need more than 4 strikers on books this season.

Cosgrove, Jalo then you'd probably have to go Watters and then sign a new one.

Free Transfers an Loans for us, if we could buy what would be our budget.

I think someone like him is ideal. We have some CBs with good potential but they need a leader to help them through. If we signed a Goode or a Roberts, they would not need to play each week, but come in when needed and offer that experience. Use him like Val used Sollbauer. If it is a more physical game where the opponent is going more direct use Goode and drop MDG for example. Or bring him on later in games to help see the game out.

Goode is probably the better option over a Roberts too as I suspect his wages would be lower, plus he is a lot younger.

    Marvin Ekpiteta would be ideal.

Another good shout if he's affordable. Think he left Blackpool cos he wanted more money but if we can afford him he's great

He's been told to find a new club by all accounts, so will be moving on permanently.

Seems to be a lot of interest from Championship teams, which doesn't surprise me in the slightest. So I think the chances of him coming here are slim to none.

We also have Marsh who's contract we've triggered for another year.

If we're going to go with Cosgrove, Jalo, Watters and Marsh as our four strikers then our expectations for next season need to be low.
Watters has been a terrible signing and Jalo and Marsh have shown very little to date to suggest they'll cut it as regulars in L1.

Imagine our 3 centre half's of

    Ekpiteta 6ft 4
    Pines 6ft 5
    Earl 6ft 4

Absolutel beasts which you definitely need in this division.

    Plus our other options.

    Lopata 6ft 4
    McCarthy 6ft 4
    Lofthouse 6ft 3
    Shepherd 6ft 2
    MDG 6ft 1

Because this thing about young players always getting better with time is just not true.
There's way more fall by the wayside than ever reach anywhere near there potential..
Maybe because they've seen so many in the academys fall by the wayside. When they get their first pro deal they think they've made it.. When in reality it gets actually harder because then they're up against experienced pro's that have..

Forgot about that one too. Not sure why they triggered that to be honest.

So many sub par strikers on books. Need 3 or 4 of them moving on

You've been very kind to Sam Cosgrove there.
