What a ridiculous post! Moore is a great player, an ambassador, a gentleman and a complete professional. The only detrimental part of his game is his passing which could clearly be improved but other than that he commands and brings togetherness to the back line. When he doesn't play we always notice his omission and we're never as good defensively. Long live Big Daz...
What bugs me about Mr Moore Is how he keeps putting in performance after performance whilst not 100% fit, with age against him and for a club of which some of its more knowledgable fan base had written him off after about 2 games.
Top, top man.

(doh) You not seen how many times he's helped a team get promoted to the best football league in the world?
If Darren Moore had pace and good distribution he'd be playing for Man Utd, not Barnsley. He reads the game better than most defenders we have ever had at Oakwell, is superb in the air and has stopped us being bullied by big centre forwards which we had a problem with before he came to us. With Shotton and Dickinson we have added much more pace to the backline which means he should get exposed less. In my opinion, he was one of Davey's best signings.
But another thing about big Daz is he seems to play through the injury, was having pain killers injected at the start of the season so he could play.
You know I am with you on that Mario. Big Daz is the best defender at the club. Can't believe the cr@p that is said about him.
I think the majority are Ponty. Most reds see him as a top player and as somebody else said an ambassador and a true gent. I have nothing but respect and admiration for the big man.
One of Davey`s better signings IMO. What he gives away in lack of pace he more than makes up for in other areas.
Honestly - that's one of the worst posts I've read Short memory if you think that he's one of the worst players you've ever seen. Flippin 'ek - do we need to start that thread again? Darren Moore is a very solid professional and not somebody that centre forwards look forward to playing against. Admittedly he's coming to the end of his days - but regardless - a good player nonetheless. Glad you don't pick the side.
the only thing bugging me about Big Daz is why his nickname is Big Dave otherwise top bloke and very good CH. Rather he was in the team than not
Name some Tarn laikers from the late 60's/early 70's Just to show howlong you've been supporting tarn and that. Like you always do.
He makes me sick. Which particular game in Barnsley's history do you choose as the one that shows attending proves your Barnsley supporting credentials ?
I choose Wimbeldon v Barnsley 12.10.1988 at Plough Lane. 2nd round, 2nd leg of the League Cup and we were 2-0 down from the first leg.
The truest of true Barnsley supporters attended that. I obviously did.
