    I don't think anyone will guess this.

    I found out by getting in touch with the son and asking about his family connections. His father and his three uncles all played local league football including two at Oakwell. The star of the family was an England International and Cup winner with Sheffield United, while the older brother was a cup winner with Sheffield Wednesday. Sport was certainly in the gene's of this family, the mother of the footballers was banned from attending matches for attacking players and officials on numerous occasions and their Sister gave birth to "Iron Hague" the British Heavyweight Boxing champion.

    Five minutes and I'll give you the names.

    Family name is Bennett

    George 1904 is the father of Walter "Cocky" Bennett 1946 who will be 90 in Dec 08 and is named after his famous uncle.

    Tip Bennett was Barnsley captain
    Walter "Cocky" Bennett 1900's was the England international and Blade killed at Manvers at the age of 34
    Micky Bennett was the Owl
    Anne Bennett was the mother of Iron Hague

    and finally Walters Grandma was responsible for many acts of hooliganism, including quite a few in Mexborough v Barnsley St Peters games prior to the club joining the league.
