46,000 tickets snapped up. They’ve taken over Trafalgar Square. I’m sure there’ll be mixed opinions but I always, for their fans benefit, hope they get success. That doesn’t apply to some other well supported teams however !

The game against wycombe at home was not football. It was head tennis. But as they say, "it takes two to tango" we were as much to blame on that occasion. It was dire.
I've always had the feeling that football in the North East is near enough life or death. We love and follow our club but for Sunderland and Newcastle fans it seems to be their entire lives. Makes for a good atmosphere at least.
Me too. Plus from a financial perspective, I imagine our club will get more dosh from Sunderland fans than Wycombe fans.
No brainer for me, Sunderland will always be top two challengers in that league , Wycombe won’t. Think we’LL have enough competition with Ipswich Wednesday Derby Peterborough
Last day out at Wembley their fans were too hungover from trafalgar Square to support them for the match, some were asleep!
Not keen on Sunderland fans - not pleasant when I visited Roker. Also remember a few getting in the Ponyy when they were doing well - quite a bit of trouble. Stewards took one of them out across the concourse in the Ponty, and he started shouting at the top of his voice and one of ours walked up to him and knocked him clean out in front of the stewards
Newcastle fans are top blokes. Sunderland are all brag. I hope Sunderland win because it's one less top team to beat. Derby, Peterborough, Charlton, Ipswich, Portsmouth, Oxford, Mk Dons, Sheff We'd. That's eight clubs we'll be fighting it out with. If Sunderland win today make that nine. There's only six places up for grabs and only three can go up.
Wycombe deserve to go up for the way they lost out last year. That said, I think Sunderland next season under Alex Neil will would dominate league one and effectively leave us fighting for one of two promotion places
Was that the year Peter Reid was in charge and they had an on loan Shay Given in the nets? Seem to remember them scoring and a couple of their fans running towards the West Stand which we'd given them and they'd sold out?
