    RE: I don't

It was when we lost in the league. 3-1 I think. It was the game when McPhail got hacked down early on.
The 5-1 was in the league cup

I can remember one or two other incidents of abuse, too...

    He did get booed

Because I remember being appalled, and I remember the look of horror on his face when he collected the ball out of the net.

Chopra got a fair bit (not loads) of stick around where I sit

in the Ponty end. I think the thinking behind it was that Paul Hart signed him, therefore he must be rubbish and lazy. He also wasn't white which tends to work against you in the Ponty End in my opinion. I didn't go to the Donny game but I heard that when Chops scored someone shouted something at the players / and or him and he shouted something back.

Master of logic and they know how to spot a good player in the Ponty, oh aye.

    My recollection of events

is that after scoring Chopra turned to the ponty end and flicked his middle finger at fans that had been pushed far beyond the edge that night. The few that noticed this booed him as a result.

I said at the time I'm sure I saw him do that, but not many on here had seen it. Maybe my eyes deceived me.

    I think

    you are correct.

The booing had been going on all game because we were spineless. The preceeding results had put the crowd in the depths of depression

to b fair i blame andy ritchie, the player said he wanted to come to us the board wanted to buy him as thye expressed there desire for bix office players which i believe mr cryne can afford. i just believe ritchie had too much faith in plop such as richards, hayes, wright and nardiello. that being his reason not to get chopra.

Just a bit of basic maths, £500k for Chops add 1 year wages, lets say £8k per week = £416k, total call it £1 million outlay and then sold for £5 million. Hmm not bad forsight that or was it too big a gamble for us?
