Dyson - If you're interested, my mate is the treasurer of a group who are trying to do the community club takeover with Stockport County. Can put you in touch if you want to find out more.
Don't worry, we've said from the outset that WSB will and can only work and achieve what it was set out to do if it stays well detached from the club. Otherwise it just becomes another matchday program with no independant voice. So expect more of the same next season.
But there's already suspicion about your motives - you've seen the stuff put on here about the owner and directors at BFC (I'm as guilty as anyone btw) - you going to subject yourself to that for nowt a yard, and have everyone tell you that you're wrong every step of the way ? Then have he grief from above ?
I never said I'd do it! But I definitely would. I was just after a bit of a debate, see if there was a fundamental interest in it. It's not for me to take it forward, it's for the Trust and it's members. That's the starting point.
There's no ulterior motive from my side. I heard the fanzine was going to be born, thought I'd get involved, contribute what I could and raise money for charity aswell. That for me is/was the only reason for my involvement. If through the course of WSB's evolvement I/we/us/the readers think of ideas etc that could benefit the club/supporters then I feel WSB is an ideal platform to launch them. It's only on ere, WSB and social media that the independent voice can be heard.
Dyson. An acquaintance of mine is involved quite heavily in the Portsmouth ownership model. If you wasn't I will get his insight into how it's all going. Advantages and pitfalls etc. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
