And I've got no qualms about where I'll work. Perfect match

Redfearns seems to have been a massive success to me. Are there any plans for the trust to expand or even attempt to take over the in stadium catering when it comes up?

Ah, but which was which? I see myself more as Jack to Turvey's Vera. He's always right for a start!

We're in the club's hands as they're essentially letting us run Redfearn's Bar on their behalf. They can take it back any time they decide if they have plans for it.

Redfearn's is run by a small group of volunteers catering for around 250 people each match day. There would definitely be aspirations to expand or have more involvement, but taking on the catering for the club (in my opinion) just couldn't be done on a volunteer basis like Redfearn's is. That needs to be at least one person's full time job.

Stadium catering - nice idea but no chance. Not even pitching for it, but if we were approached for ideas we'd happily help.

Be interesting to see what happens next year, the venue should definitely remain as a pre-match venue next season but there hasn't been a discussion yet. We're chuffed with what we've achieve so far that's for sure.

Any particular reason why you wouldn't pitch for it? I think it could be really profitable and actually easier than running redfearns. Although as Gally says it couldn't be done using an army of volunteers but I reckon it could easily be done by the trust setting on a few paid members of staff and you could definitely outdo Lindleys thats for sure

I'm sure we would do a decent job that's for sure. I'm just not sure we're what the club would want from a catering partner. And it'd be too much work. If the club approached us we'd have a discussion around it, but we wouldn't approach them.

I forgot to tell you about the Bartrop exhibit in Manchester

I intended to give you a step by step account of what they'd put together which even included a model of Tommy Boyle from Blackpool Pleasure beach and a massive map of Serre on the Somme where the Barnsley Pals were stationed.

PS I will not answer to Vera so dont bother

It was also my first visit pre match into Redfearns and I was impressed with what a group of volunteers can achieve when they put their minds to it.

I dont think I've seen pies as big as that for a long time.

Take a bow Hicksy , @loko_the_tyke and friends. Well done

Can you edit your post mate?

I'm a part timer so don't want to be taking credit for others work (e.g. Hicksy, Gally). Have been to a couple of games recently though.
