i'd like to think there's a space in this world for both BFCST and WSB. they're very different, and for me it should stay like that. i see BFCST as an unofficial mouthpiece for the Club - rightly or wrongly. a more diplomatic bridge. i see WSB as straight out fans, who aren't interested in the b0llocks that comes with trying to work closely with the Club. i've tried so many times to get involved with BFCST. but for whatever reasons, nothing has ever got off the ground. and when i heard bloore was back in town, my head hit the desk. so i'll help out where i can, but other than that i'll let 'em crack on..
And I fully agree with everything you've said, including the part about the trust. I will say that Gally prior to the Wilson sacking had organised a live stream Q&A with Mansford, and we had agreement from Ben for a meeting with Danny and all the staff for four weeks or so time We were also then waiting for Mansford to give permission on a press statement regarding Port Vale, and the recent figure of having the 'worst' fans in the league for arrests. Problem we have with statements is we can only publish what the club can legally say, and recent developments have obviously pushed us to the bottom of the priority list. Didn't mean to cause offence, was just answering a post that. Cunning Stunt replied to that in fair agreement, but apologies if you interpreted it as it wasn't intended.
Why do you need to wait for the club's permission seeing as you're a completely independent group? I'd have liked to have seen something from the trust even as a holding statement to say that you've been made aware of the claims made by Mr Mansford & you'll be working with him & SYP to understand the evidence behind it before discussing next steps.
Some of the issues disclosed are not legally allowed to be communicated. Not sure how we get round that. I think Marc's post has hit the nail on the head personally.
If that's so Mr Mansford shouldn't have talked about it then. And Marc is right, two very different organisations with different aims & relationships. But like I've said, happy to help where possible.
I don't believe there's any issue with him starting the facts and offering to check what can be said legally? Not in my eyes anyway. Problem is I'm one of over 10,000, so what does that matter? Holding statement challenge is fair though
Only just seen this. Still don't really see a need for that statement, but again, just my opinion. Barnsley sack another manager after poor performances and poor results, you can't get away from that fact despite some fans thinking it was too soon and against the long term strategy of the club. Despite a strategy still being able to be implemented by someone else running the ship.
I'm that out of touch, I don't even know what he said. Did he get a touch of the Hill's and call us all cnuts?
Is the Trust still 'in favour' of fan representation on the board etc. I understood back in the dim and distant this was a medium term aim. If so what's being done to promote etc. it's some thing a few people on this thread and myself want to raise at the meeting in Thursday so just wanted to check the Supporters Trust View.
