Born at Pindar Oaks Maternity Home

Brought up in Measbrough Dyke - hence name! Would've been able to see Oakwell from my bedroom window if it weren't for the terrace houses in the way!?

Looks like a foreign name to me. You can't be 3 generations.

Pogmoor Workhouse. Ripped away from God's own when I was five to live in the wonderful north east. Too far to run away.

    Right that's enough now.

This thread is supposed to be about people from Barnsley who support other clubs. Obviously it's alright to support Barnsley wherever you're from.

It's very multicultural in Old Town, they leave me be.

I used to play footy round the back of Wakefield prison...think that means I have to join you on the West Yorkshire board. Hope it's warm.

well if i was to support the team where I was born

it would be borussia munchengladbach which would be a bit far to travel week in week out

Fortunately I grew up int' Tarn so I think I'm ok.

It was a close call though cos I was swayed for a while by the white shirts from up the road. Came to my senses though and my favourite player ended up a red anyway.

    I once had

An Ipswich kit. ******* Ipswich! I kid you not. They were my 'premiership' team when I was a kid. When Bobby Robson was manager and they had Alan Brazil, Eric gates, Paul Mariner, John Wark, Terry Butcher etc. Beat that.
