Err...who are you? 45 posts since 2016?? Surely you should know that Barnsley has spent more time in the 2nd tier than any other club in football history. G0oogle it if you don't believe me.

Actually that's why I'll keep going, "the highs & lows & a bit of banter & a few beers", and there's still nowt better than when someone smashes it into the net in front of me in the Ponty.
As an aside, had a great night in the Smokestack last weekend.

It was sarcasm mate, probably should've made it more clear but it's just to point on the incessant whining of people about the owners acting like time under these owners has been constant hell and we've be pure dross since they took over

We've had a **** season, we did have a promotion and a season of VI under them but they're probably not the best owners and they should go, but people are taking this way out of proportion

I don't disagree Helen. I want them gone as much as anyone. I think what they're doing across Europe is a stain on the game. I think my point was, things had to get an awful lot worse at Blackpool than they currently are at Barnsley, before they finally decided to rise up. it's a huge undertaking.

the other harsh reality is that results will make this go away, for a lot of people. football fans have very short memories. there could be a serious, well orchestrated protest mobilised over the summer. and I'd be right on the front line. but if we get off to a flyer next season, it's distinctly possible that it would lose serious momentum. if that were to happen, I imagine any serious protest movement would be sunk.

the owners are lots of things, but they're not daft. it's quite possible they would placate a movement initially, purely to subdue it enough for it to go away.
