    I agree but we should still be in for the best players we can possibly get rather than speculative punts. Excellent point about ball retention. That's been our biggest problem at the end of games we should be coasting in.

    Maybe numbers men could find another Carlton Morris.

    Agree. I thought it was underwhelming. How wrong was I? Best centre forward since Shipperley and up there with Ward for me.

    I just want to compound other posters great message. Goals aren't the problem. It's an honest striker that recycles the ball and holds onto it. Prepared to run the channels. No good tummellin' over giving ball away and opposition attacking. ( Ala Cosgrove).

    Maybe these young lads from Salford or wherever can do that?

    Interesting. I suppose if he's pumping 4/5 mill in a year to keep the club going he could put an extra million or two in to get a couple of decent blokes. Is that what youre saying?

    Yes. He's losing money either way. I don't think he's sharpest pencil. Meant with most sincerity.
