    Eoin Morgan has captained Kolkata Knight Riders to the IPL final that they lost today but he's woefully out of form with the bat....

    41 runs in his last 9 innings. It's worrying as our captain that after playing in the conditions he will be playing for England in shortly he looks in need of a rest. We are weak enough with Stokes and Archer missing without an out of form captain.

    If we don't win this World Cup there'll be another one along in a minute. They seem to hold one of some variety every year in cricket. It's losing its meaning.

    Archer is a big miss, but not sure Stokes’ t20 record is all that good, compared to how good he is in other formats

    I think I’ll trust the bloke who turned us from a global embarrassment to ODI world cup winners and T20 world cup finalists within 4 years on this one.

    I think its more that his face doesn't fit - if they wanted him, then they'd let him play. One of the most talented players we've got has been binned off because of a clash of personalities - that's the problem with cricket, even more so then football, teams persist with sub-optimal selections based on mates and who they trust.

    Regarding Hales, I think he would have got another go if we were crying out for runs at the top of the order. But with Roy, Buttler, Malan and Bairstow doing really well over the past few years, then we can do without him.

    I have some very incriminating pictures of Mr Hales that were passed around the county game.

    A semi naked girl in his England kit in a hotel room was one of them. This was at a time when he was just about to get married and his fiancé was really big friends with the other WAGs at the time. The same time as his drug issue as well.

    All the players have subsequently fallen out with him, so didn't want to play in the same team as him.
