We have a far worse team with less experience in the division and less experience playing together than the second half of last season in which we had relegation form, how is being concerned about that blind panic? You zealots are ridiculous. First we need the summer to assess then we need the first game to have happened and now we need 10 games. We will arready be relegated before some on here admit there's a problem
I also feel though that we need to see Thiam, Lindsay, Mcgeehan, Isgrove etc in the team to assess the squad as a whole but the team that has been playing to date is a mile away from being good enough. Sorry
With or without takeover money this team needs an experience boost to help them through to January or til they become accustomed to the league and each other. That's just fact then I'm sure with the talent we have currently got we will go from strength to strength.
I can see that and I would welcome a takeover to take us to the next level. But nothing has happened yet so I'm not getting my hopes up.
Zealots? Why does one side of an argument need to be equated to zealotry? Are people not allowed to have as defined opinions as you clearly do on the opposite side of the argument?
I disagree with just about everything Huddersfield Red writes on here, but he/she has got a right to write it. Why use language like that to him/her? In what way do you think it helps you get your point across?
It's fine, to be expected with his level of intelligence, speaks volumes about his upbringing or lack of.
There's no guarantee that new investors are going to pump millions into the playing staff. Even if they are, these things take time to put together. It could potentially be next summer before you notice a change. I seriously doubt it'll all be completed within the next fortnight for one.
Surely that depends how long these negotiations (if they exist) have been going on. If true, they may have been going on for some considerable time in secret and the possible take-over may only have been leaked when completion is imminent. Tt might, just might, explain the lack of signings everyone is complaining about if the present owner is sitting on the cash. After all, you dont go spending loads of money un-necessarily on a house if you are in the process of selling it to someone who intends to re-model it. All this, of course, is total supposition on my part.
I genuinely don't know yet. They have played some excellent halves of football this season - just not yet put it together for a whole match. I think its too soon to say whether the current squad is good enough. I think it probably is but I can understand why some are concerned. Thats a fair comment, but irrelevant, we have a substantially different squad to last season. We only played four league games so far this year and I expect us to improve once the team gets more experience together. Doesnt mean I am against us signing a couple more players especially defensive minded ones
The problem with that is our current squad is much worse than the one we finished last season with so you would expect us to average less points not more and a streaky win against Forest can't paper over the cracks.
I'm trying to be positive and say we was unlucky v Ipswich we beat forest. Didn't go Bristol but told we were **** watched the united game and that was pretty bad. So I hope we get cavare in Lindsay mcgheen izzy and thiam back yids has a change of heart and we push on and make oakwell a fortress and we will be okay.
Where there is life there's hope. If we stay up this season it would be a fantastic achievement but we have Hecky so there's always hope.
