I don't know what your issue is Durkar, but if you've anything to say I'd love to hear it and debate it.

Your one line attempts at humour are doing my box in.

Meaningless at this point. Players will just do it now as they feel they have to.

Well it does come from GOT. It is mentioned a lot. To bend the knee to someone is to show your loyalty but also to show you are subordinate to them. It literally puts you on a lower level. The American thing refers it to the incident where the copper was kneeling on George Floyd's throat - which no-one can condone. However the situation in the USA is not the same as the UK. I am not saying that there isn't discrimination or a level playing field here, but All Lives Matter - is not a racist response. I am not a racist, I believe in equality and fairness for all regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religious persuasion - but don't expect me to approve of all beliefs or lifestyles, or even tastes in music. As long as they do not impinge on my freedoms people can do what they like - but don't ram your ideas down my throat.

It does make me cringe a bit when I see people do it over here.

Martin Luther King taking the knee in 1965. I never realised the Reverend was a Time Lord and copied this from Game Of Thrones fifty years in the future!:D

It seems it goes a bit further back than that.

More proof that Dominic Raab is talking rubbish. However, the difference between the two images is Reverend King isn't taking the knee to prove his subservience to another person.

Please do a little research regarding All Lives Matter.

    It'll save a hell of a job.

The American thing comes from Colin Kaepernick, who did it during the national anthem before games when playing for the 49ers to protest against the death of black people at the hands of the police in 2016 (which also led to the formation of Black Lives Matter). He originally sat down for 3 games, but after criticism took the knee to show his support for the flag/anthem (kneeling was seen as more respectful than just sitting) but also highlight how black people are mistreated in the American system. It effectively cost him his NFL career.

Always tell a racist with how they have to list all the reasons why they’re not racist and how such a nice human being they are then comes the BUT!!
Alllivesmatter IS a racist retort .

Got no issues with anyone doing it if it’s something they believe in.

Fair enough. I'd replied before seeing your edit.
