    Yes and thats y we call those ones current teacakes, so the ones without currents in are therefore just called teacakes

    its a batch, cob or whatever they want in the midlands but it will always be a TEACAKE to me :) :) :) :)

    to me a batch is a parcel of things to deliver

    a cob is getting a sweat on which a lot in the midlands know nothing about :D

    Teacake...slightly sweetened low density bread, no currants.
    Current teacake..as above avec currants
    Cob..small crusty roll
    Breadcake..what I'd expect a burger to come in. Bread in the shape of a cake?
    Oven Bottom Cake...Large diameter, flattened dense breadcake, strangely cooked at the bottom of the oven. Ideal for full breakfast sandwiches...
