No point playing him if hes not fit It might be good for his recovery but not for the team. The club assures us that behind closed doors games will be organised for players coming back form injury so where are they? Davey had an entire pre-season program to play Hume and give him some much needed match practice and yet he didn't even bring him off the bench till gainsborough
Flatters to Deceive IMHO He needs to start getting a few goals to convince me he can make a GENUINE contribution to the team.
RE: No point playing him if hes not fit He isn't coming back from an injury that could be made worse by playing again too early - unless the obvious happens. He's been cardio training for ages. I see no problem with playing our best striker for 60 minutes and letting him run himself into the ground.
Super tyke i believe Hume trained yesterday but he was dropped when not fit last Tuesday/Saturday. Ryhill Tyke Hume has been playing in game this season and the reserves have not really gone barnsley are just not in a proper league. Steele Right to left foster Thompson Moore potter Jcr anderson hammill Iceland man. Bogdanovic. can see him going the same way has istvan ferenczi went. Hero to zero when his fellow country man left. Thats my point He needs to play games to get fitness so get some behind closed doors games organised like we were told they would when the reserve team was scrapped. Its also what I meant when I said he should have been playing in more friendlies even if he wasn't fit because it wasn't down to an injury it was just lack of fitness and he needed a run out to get fit. Davey missed the opportunity. I don't think that playing him for 60 minutes will help the team because he isn't fit and is there any point playing a striker that isn't fit?
He is the best CB at the club, and he can be the only one who should be proud-ish of their performance. Moore got caught out too many times today, like i've said all summer... His lack of pace is very worrying. He's like a lorry being pulled - heart stopping stuff every time someone chases him down.
Your completely changing the system so you can drop our player of the year, move our best centre half to right back and put an untried, untested player who has never kicked a ball near this level before?
RE: Thats my point I agree with you - but we dont have a reserve team and I haven't seen any friendlies scheduled for Hume or the development players. If its a choice of putting up with what we had today with KO swapping over or giving Hume a chance to get Match Fit (he isn't unfit as people keep saying) then I know what I'd take.
It's funny becasue (in the first half) Foster was the one continually caught out. He did have a MUCH better second half.
You must be joking... ...he competely ran the game against Derby County at their place in March. He was so much better than everyone else on the field against Forest at home. If you take Anderson out of our side and then we really do look like a hopeless bag of *****, not worth watching.
Anderson is our only quaility player He doesnt score many but can take the ball back, hold it get his head up and give a simple pass. If he scored he would be in Everton starting line up not holding up our team
