O'Brien certainly appears to have All the necessary requirements to play there, a modern day Mark Robinson if you will.

Re: O'Brien certainly appears to have I'd go defensive and hope we have enough flair/finishing capability going forward. Playing Delap (if fit) is almost a must for me - his long throws may well be our only real threat. I would think it'll be too soon for Dawson, needs a couple of substitute appearances in the league before being thrown into this one. 3-5-2 is excellent against team that play 2 up top because you have a spare man at centre half and a spare man in midfield. But when they only have 1 up front you've got two centre halves not marking anyone and can get done down the wings. This is especially the case when playing against a 4-3-3 because it pins the wing backs back and allows their full backs to push right up. City's 4-2-3-1 does the same which is why I think a 4-5-1 would be better for this game. I agree that we should be playing 3-5-2 more often but even in our winning run we switched to four at the back at times in an attempt to counter the problems with the 3-5-2, whether it was Kennedy or Hassell pushing up into midfield.
