Spot on. Even if they trip up over their feet or have a nose bleed at the 18 yard box like Thomas used to do. It still broke the lines and pulled defenders out of their comfort zones.

They were not that prolific when Thomas did play. Cole as never been a high goal scorer and apart from a few odd games is been the average. Just like Norwood and Aitchinson.
We have not got the player who can play that pass or anyone who could beat a man to and create openings . Kane gets worse every time I see him. I hoped for more from Connell to be honest .

Its strange that after the Doncaster win there was a big shout out to play Martin, it doesn"t appear he has had much of a chance & suddenly become unpickable after only one league start , surely with Thomas being ruled out any replacement needs a run of games or is it one strike & out ?

Id say the same about Marc Richards and Tommy Wright, they weren't good enough but they both put themselves about and harassed defenders.
Daniel Nardiello though for example was a good goalscorer, but also most of the time he was as lazy as hell.

He was truly awful at Morecambe and worst of all didn’t look interested or motivated at all.

I would agree with Nards. Payton was the same. As a player bang goals in if lazy or give 100% if you're playing above your level. The issue is when someone is **** AND lazy like Martin has been so far.

It almost looks as though they have been told by our coaching staff not to do so and pass back or sideways instead. Trouble is our passing is so poor we give away possession so easily.

Williams and Benson used to make far more runs and try and take players on, almost non existent now hence me thinking it is Duff saying not to do it and try to retain possession instead.

Trouble is, that isn't working well.

We should have been at a team of Morecambes standard like last a swarm of locusts. Instead we let them dictate play for most of the match.

Lincoln showed on Saturday that they don’t roll over going behind early to Wednesday but getting a draw out of it , we can’t afford to concede the first goal against them UREDS
