Teams We Never Have Anything To Do With……

We’ve played Raith home and away in friendlies. I have the programmes. Raith were my Scottish team, as the ex’s stepbrother is from Kirkcaldy and a Raith fan, so I went along with him several times. I saw Raith line up against two ex-Reds. First Alex Neil for Hamilton and then Kyle Letheren for Dundee, although he was stretchered off after a head injury.

Can’t imagine I’ll be going to see them again! I still look out for their results though, as I do for Dunfermline, as the ex’s cousin is a Dunfermline fan and was excited to show me that the ground was visible from their master bedroom window, something he took great pains to ensure his wife hadn’t noticed when they were first looking round the house!

 

Well, we did cost Sutton a few quid printing tickets for our second round FA Cup clash!

 

Good one Kev. I may be wrong but ..... I think they are the only one of the other 91 current league clubs that we have a 100% losing record against? Played 2, lost 2 (0-1 at Oakwell and 1-5 at Crawley a few days after Danny Wilson was sacked in 2015). I don't think we've lost every game against any other league club?

 

Mansfield is a club we’ve not played much since the 70s.

Preston was another one we didn’t play for about 30yrs, during which time they went down the plastic pitch route, with QPR, Luton & Oldham.
